What Does the Party Actually Look Like?
Kids rotate through the captain’s seat while the rest of the group hangs out with pizza and cake. Each child taxis, takes off, flies over the city, and tries a landing with the instructor right beside them. Parties are at our Midtown Manhattan studio.

Who Runs the Party?
Instructors who fly professionally and genuinely enjoy teaching kids. If a child feels nervous, they can watch until they are ready, try an easier scenario, or ride along as co-pilot. There is no pressure: every kid flies at their own pace.

Flight Instructor

Who Teaches the Kids?
Working airline pilots who are genuinely good with children. They fly airliners for a living, they explain things at a kid’s pace, and they are patient with the nervous ones.

Elijah Burgess is an FAA Gold Seal Certified Flight Instructor and the founder of EBFlight.com. He holds a B.S. in Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and currently flies the ERJ-170/190 as a Captain for Republic Airways.

William Wong is an accomplished aviator and educator with significant experience in flying Pilatus PC-12s across the Northeast and Caribbean. His instructional background in South Florida is marked by a 100% passing rate, demonstrating his skill as a flight instructor.

How Does the Party Work?
Pick your space and date
Choose a simulator party, the VR room, or the full studio for big groups. Tell us the headcount and ages.
Kids rotate, party rolls
Each child takes the controls with the instructor while the rest of the group enjoys food and the party space.
Cake, photos, certificates
Cake on the galley cart, photos at the controls, and a certificate for every guest.
How Many Kids Can Come?
Age and length set the group size, because every turn costs a reset between flights and kids take shorter turns. On the G1000 party bookable today, ages 8 to 13 take up to 4 kids in two hours or 8 in three. Teens 14 and up book on the standard guest capacities instead: 2 in two hours, 6 in three. Parties using more than one station at the Midtown studio plan to 10 kids.

Kids fly shorter turns, so more of them fit around the reset between flights.

Bigger groups need more stations
One simulator is one seat, so a larger party books more of the room at Midtown.

Your adults run the kids. Our crew runs the flying and resets the space. Bring at least one adult per 5 kids, never fewer than 2 for the whole party, and parents are always welcome to stay and watch.
What Will the Kids Actually Fly?
Four stations, and a party can use one or all of them. Kids rotate through with staff at every machine, so nobody waits long for a turn at the controls.
VR Room (2 VR flight simulators)
Both VR flight simulators with a dedicated operator. The F/A-18 Hornet, F-16 Fighting Falcon, A-10 Thunderbolt II, and P-51 Mustang lead the recreational launch lineup, alongside a Cessna 172 and a Cirrus SR20 in X-Plane 12.

- Both stations add 2 degrees of freedom of motion, pitch and roll, after opening
- A session is 60 minutes total, with 45 minutes in the simulator

G1000 Flight Simulator
Flight training airplanes, a Cessna 172 and similar. This is the certified equipment people train in toward a license.
- Flies the trainers most pilots learn in: Cessna, Piper, and Beechcraft models
- Garmin G1000 avionics, the workhorse of modern flight training, in production since 2004 and still shipping today as the G1000 NXi
- FAA-approved training device on Precision Flight Controls hardware: with an instructor, the time is real, loggable training

Cirrus SR Series Simulator
Delayed to 2027The Cirrus SR20 and SR22, the airplanes famous for the whole-airframe parachute. Delayed to 2027. It will run at the new Midtown studio.

Can We Bring Cake and Food?
Always, and most parties do. The party space and vintage galley cart are yours: pizza, snacks, and cake between flights. Bring it yourself or hire your own catering team. If you would rather we handled it, we can, for an added fee.

We are a professional simulator training facility, not a party venue. When you bring your own food, setup and cleanup are yours; when we arrange the catering, the cleanup is ours.
